About Us
Del Salto® is a trademark of a family-owned venture specializing in tropical jams, jellies, marmalades, hot sauces, chunky sauces, sweet and sour sauces, relishes, and chutneys. Our products are 100% pure and gluten-free, made entirely with natural ingredients sourced from small farmers in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. We are committed to supporting our local community by buying from our neighbors, ensuring that our ingredients are both fresh and sustainably produced. Our recipes are inspired by Tico cuisine, capturing the authentic taste of tropical Costa Rica.
Our location, just 10 kilometers south of Liberia, the capital of the province of Guanacaste, is along the Pan-American Highway (Highway One) near the El Salto River, from which we derive our name, "Del Salto" (meaning "from El Salto"). The waterfall depicted on our label is a painting of one of the falls along the river.
Since 1998, Del Salto has been proudly serving the local market. Our trademark is registered in both the USA and Costa Rica.
We produce our products in small batches to ensure the highest quality. Our factory adheres to ISO 22000 standards, which guide our manufacturing processes. All fruits and vegetables are hand-washed, carefully selected, and only the finest produce is used in our recipes. While all of our recipes are original, we often draw inspiration from traditional Costa Rican recipes to create our unique flavors.
